Jake's Famous Crawfish

Food was excellent. Living in Boston and wanted something other than a Lobstah roll. West coast seafood is the absolute best and this dinner was everything that I was missing on the east coast.

The drinks were blended perfectly. The seafood was fresh. If you like mushrooms, I would recommend the the northwest salmon saute. It had the perfect balance of acid, fat, salt, and sweet. Also, the Dungeness crab and bay shrimp cakes were quiet tasty. Service was wonderful.

Never in my life have I been so full as I was after eating the Idaho trout. I have eaten a lot of California rainbow trout. My mom fished for it regularly and made an excellent pan fried trout. The trout at Jake's was excellent! While skin on filet in brown butter. So good! I was completely stuffed! Can't wait to go back. My dining partner had the sole worth capers. He to agree it all. Friendly service. Five stars!

There was not a single item i tried here, that was not delicious. Drinks were made with proper amount of each ingredient, fish was cooked to perfection, oysters were flavorful. Bit pricey, but worth it for a special night out.

Excellent service and amazing seafood! Highly recommend the salmon sate. Super unique dish, especially if you’re a mushroom fan.

Lovely ambiance when you walk into the restaurant. It provides valet parking. Lucky we made a reservation as we still had to wait for a table. It was a pity we were not in season for crawfish. Salad was great. The cod fish was cooked well but nothing wow! The gumbo was tasty! We loved the dessert choices. Lots to choose from, the chocolate bag was was delicious!

Love this place!! It truly feels like a piece of the south with high-end drinks and a stunning menu in a low-key jazzy environment. The staff has always been wonderful and everything is delicious.

Absolutely amazing food. Expensive ($120 for 2 people - drinks included) but not outrageous. I would have paid more for the dishes we were served. If you're unsure of the quality, an NBA team dined there the same night as my party.

We came for happy hour and sat at the bar next to where all the waiters and waitresses pick up the drinks that the bartenders make. The happy hour food was delicious. Especially the cajun chicken sandwich. However I was slightly disappointed to hear a waitress who was picking up a drink from the bar swearing and ranting about a customer or employee. I couldn't hear exactly which. It was fairly quiet but still within earshot. Everyone in a restaurant as nice as this one has a very difficult job so I'm not down rating

I can’t say I’ve tried a lot here, as the Stuffed Salmon is so delicious I have no need to try anything else. ☺️ The Chocolate Bag is the perfect finish to the meal with the hard shell chocolate outside (in shape of a bag), and filled with amazing white chocolate mousse. The fresh berries on top make it even more delicious. Both are a definite must-try! 👍🏼👍🏼

We have been dining at Jake's for years both for business entertaining and personal enjoyment. Their selection of fresh fish from the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere is unsurpassed in our opinion. Their staff is professional and friendly with an in depth knowledge of their offerings. Their menu is printed daily to show the fresh deliverys of the day and from where they came. Jake's offers many standard menu items which we have loved over the past 40 years of dining there, but also offer daily limited specials. Their desserts are out of this world. If you are planning to go there for a special occasion, let then know in advance and they will print a personalized menu to commemorate your dining experience.

A good place to go if you are into seafood, which many of my colleagues are. Its also located in downtown area and convenient for those in the area. The place has like an "old school" feel to it for as long as I can remember. I had the traditional Cobb salad, while the others had some more interesting items. Overall, good service, decent food, and good for larger groups.

Best seafood and pasta I have had in quite some time.- Excellent service- Fresh, high quality seafood- The crab bisque and seafood fettuccini was to die for- Reasonably pricedI would highly recommend this place if you love good seafood! If I am ever in the Portland area again, I will be back!

We had a great dinner tonight! Grilled steelhead, wedge salad, onion soup and clam chowder. The food was great and the service much better, thank you Morgan for making our evening great!

The place of course lived up to its hype. The interiors are elegant, although I did feel it was a bit cramped as too many tables were squeezed in there. they specialize in seafood and that is what you ll gt, so don't go expecting to see food which does not feature seafood in some way on the menu.Our waitress was nice and friendly, although slightly condescending? But that might have been my own feelings. I went here for the Portland Dining month, and the food which came out was amazing, The clam chowder was one of the best I have ever had, better than the ones I had in Cali. For the entree, I had the shrimp fettucine which was creamy and rich, the portion sizes were good as well. The dessert was chocolate mousse which was smooth, super rich and tasted like heaven on a plate. The dining experience was amazing. Almost everyone in the restaurant was above 65 yo and white, so if that's not the vibe you like, avoid this place, but the food was excellent.

The menu is almost all seafood so don't bring a +1 that is "just going to order a land dish" because there's generally only a hand full of choices that aren't from the sea. While the dishes were quite good, the quality doesn't justify the pricing to the point I wouldn't return. Presentation was excellent and service was quick.

The staff were wonderful people people. The turkey club sandwich and the salmon board were most excellent! The conversational noise level was comfortable. It was a nice experience.

Um.. wow!!! Don was our server and he was just out of this world! Very knowledgable and confident and just gave us such good service. On top of that, the drinks, the appetizers, the food.. amazing! Even the valet parking guys were superb. I'm so happy we finally tried this place.. we will absolutely be back!

Consistent, great food. The best place to celebrate a special occasion or just stop by for a drink and appetizer in the bar. Nothing like the service anywhere in Oregon!

If you dig spicy food, get the gumbo. The desserts here are awesome, as well as the staff. Real classy joint. Oh and it’s worth showing up during lunch, similar to a dinner menu but everything is cheaper!

Food and service were excellent. Ordered key lime pie for dessert but it was more like key lime cheesecake. Still tasty but not what I expected.

I have been going here for more than 40 years , they never disappoint. The seafood is always fresh, great entrees and soups, salads and desserts are perfection. Top notch bartenders, waitstaff and valet.

The best food I've had in probably all of my life. Everything was perfect including drinks and dessert. I will be back every time I visit Portland. Highly recommended.

This place is pretty fancy pants so expect to pay for it. My salmon dish was very good and cooked perfectly! Ours so easy to over cook salmon. Nice job Chef!

Excellent food, presentation is amazing and service is A+! It was so nice to take our well behaved children to a nice restaurant. We were celebrating a special night! This is now their favorite restaurants!!!My suggestion is to make sure you save room for dessert. Yummy desserts!

Oysters, Seafood, steaks, and of course Jake's world famous crawfish etouffee. Five star dining at a 3-star price. Get a reservation to ensure quick seating, and the $10 valet parking is the way to go.
